June Age Group Championship Day 1

In prelims we had drops from Grayson Boyce dropped 4.9 seconds in 200 free, Logan Cornellison dropped 2.7 seconds in the 200 free, Aiden Wilson dropped 5 seconds in 200 back, Andrew Gamaley dropped 5.7 seconds in the 200 back, Sydney Jackson Dropped 4.6 seconds in the 200 IM and Grayson Boyce dropped 7.7 seconds in the 200 IM.

On Thursday we had the open 800 freestyles after prelims.

We had Sydney Jackson 17th dropping 6.32 seconds followed by Joslyn Rothlein finishing 28th with a huge time drop of 20.46 seconds followed by Adelaide Pritchett finishing 34th.

In finals we had great swims from several TMEC swimmers. Up first we had the girls 200 freestyle, where Emily Moore finished 5th with Megan Kelly coming in 13th with a new Sectional time and McKayla Sanchez coming in 14th after dropping 1.5 seconds followed by Madison Frederick finishing 16th. Next up we had the boys 200 freestyle with Michael Jones dropping 1.49 seconds to finish 10th with a new Sectional Cut. After the 200 freestyle came the 200 backstrokes, we had Madison Frederick finish 2nd in the 200 backstroke with Emily Moore coming in 9th place. On the boys side we had Hayden Cornellison finish 11th followed by Andrew Gamaley finishing 14th place. Next up we had the 200 Individual medleys to finish out the night. We had Sydney Jackson come in 13th place after a huge time drop from prelims. Next up came the older girls with Lauren Wood finishing 2nd with a new Junior National bonus cut after a 3.4 second time drop and McKayla Sanchez finishing 4th after a half second time drop.

In addition to the finals swims, we had the 800 freestyle relays. We had the 15-18 girls relay team of Kelley, Sanchez, Moore and Frederick come in second place in a new team record. In addition to the girls, we had our 15-18 boys relay team of Vanderhyden, Cornellison, Gamaley and Jones finish sixth with a new team record.
