Required Training Equipment & Team Uniform

Temecula Swim Club is a TYR sponsored team. We would like all our swimmers to wear TYR suits and use TYR equipment whenever possible. Please check your equipment bags during breaks. Often equipment is broken or lost during the season and they don’t replace it. Be sure to label all pieces of equipment with a Sharpie.

The Temecula Swim Club team uniform is a black/blue or solid black TYR racing suits without the team logo on it. All team members, including those swimmers in an “unattached” status, must wear the team suit in competition. The coaching staff recommends that swimmers wear a Lycra or polyester suit during the regular season competition. In championship/shaved and taper meets swimmers 11 & over swimmers may wear Tech suits. These suits are expensive and the Temecula Swim Club coaches do not believe these suits are necessary for fast swimming.

If your swimmer chooses to wear a cap, he or she must wear a TMEC team cap. The team cap is blue with the TMEC club logo imprinted on both sides in white. Caps cost $15.00 and are available through the coaches on deck. Caps are charged to the swimmers’ account. Coaches usually bring extra caps for sale at swim meets.

The racing suit and swim cap are the only required team uniform in competition. The purchase of all other TMEC apparel is optional. However, TMEC has an incredibly strong tradition of team unity expressed at meets with the team pride each swimmer demonstrates by wearing only TMEC team apparel. Additional team apparel is available through CAS Swim Shop located in Huntington Beach, CA and in the spirit wear section of the TMEC website.
